ASGHABAT (Ashgabat) – President Dr. Arif Alvi came here on Saturday on a two-day visit to attend the Economic Cooperation Organization’s 15th summit meeting (ECO).
At Ashgabat International Airport, the President was greeted by Turkmen Deputy Prime Minister Chary Amanov. The President was greeted with a guard of honour upon his arrival.
During his visit to Turkmenistan, Dr. Alvi will speak during the Summit’s plenary session. On the margins of the ECO Summit, he will also have bilateral discussions with participating leaders.
The Summit will assess the Organization’s actions and endorse the “Ashgabat Consensus for Action.”
It will also discuss the ECO Vision 2025 Mid-Term Review.
On the fringes of his tour, the President will meet with several leaders of member nations.
