At a meeting in Islamabad, the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) authorised four road infrastructure projects worth 130 billion rupees for Punjab.

Asad Umar, Minister for Planning and Development, stated in a tweet on Monday that the road projects include Kamalia-Shorkot-Chowk Azam-Layyah, Hasilpur-Bahawalnagar, Vehari-Pakpattan-Debalpur, and Shorkot-Jhang.

The conference authorised the K-4 project based on a revised design at a cost of 126 billion rupees. He stated that 26 billion gallons of water will be delivered to Karachi by October of next year. He stated that the federal government had kept yet another promise made in Karachi’s Transformation Plan.

The ECNEC also authorised a 96 billion rupee clean water and sanitation project for the rural districts of sixteen tehsils in South Punjab.
