On the special invitation of the Chinese leadership, Prime Minister Imran Khan will depart for China tomorrow for a four-day visit from February 3 to February 6 to attend the Winter Olympic Games opening ceremony.

The Prime Minister will be joined by a high-level delegation comprised of Cabinet members and senior government officials.

The Olympic Games, as a worldwide event, promote mutual understanding, inclusion, and goodwill among the peoples of the globe.

Beijing will soon be the first city to hold both the summer and winter Olympic Games.

During his visit, the Prime Minister will meet with President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang on a bilateral basis.

They will also engage in a wide-ranging discussion on significant regional and worldwide topics.

It would therefore reinforce the bilateral commitment to elevating Pakistan and China’s unbreakable alliance to new heights and provide impetus to cooperation across many fields. Several Memorandums of Understanding and Agreements would be signed during the visit.

During his visit to Beijing, the Prime Minister will also meet with notable Chinese business executives, as well as representatives from key Chinese think tanks, academia, and the media.

On the sidelines, he will also conduct additional bilateral talks.
