RAWALPINDI: According to ISPR, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa paid an official visit to Belgium.
During his visit, COAS Bajwa met with Stefano Sannino, the Secretary-General of the European External Action Services (EEAS), as well as General Claudio Graziano, the Chairman of the EU Military Committee.
During the debate, the general regional security environment, particularly the current situation in Afghanistan, as well as bilateral relations with the EU, were discussed.
According to the ISPR, Pakistan’s army chief emphasised that the country values its ties with EU countries and is keen to expand mutual cooperation based on common interests.
EU leaders applauded Pakistan’s sincere efforts to support regional peace and stability, and pledged to help improve engagement with Pakistan in any way they can.
