According to a statement from the Foreign Office, Prime Minister Imran Khan will leave for Russia today (Wednesday) at the request of Russian President Vladimir Putin (FO).
“A high-level entourage, including cabinet members, will accompany the prime minister. The bilateral summit will be the highlight of the visit.” According to the press release.
The two countries’ ties are “characterised by mutual respect, trust, and convergence of views on a wide spectrum of international and regional concerns,” according to the FO.
According to the statement, the Prime Minister’s visit would assist to expand the complex Pakistan-Russia bilateral relationship and boost mutual collaboration in a range of areas.
