BEACHES OF PANAMA CITY (AP) — A tiny plane crashed near an airport in the Florida Panhandle, killing two individuals, according to federal officials.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the single-engine Cessna 182 crashed Tuesday night in a forested area about two miles (three kilometres) from Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport in Panama City, Florida.
The jet was nearing the airport at 7 p.m. when it vanished from radar, according to Bay County Sheriff’s authorities. The hunt for the plane involves a number of authorities.
According to the National Transportation Safety Board, an investigator is on his way to the area to investigate the plane.
