Russian President Vladimir Putin vowed on Thursday that Moscow will continue to export oil and gas, including through Ukraine, where the Kremlin sent soldiers, prompting a round of expensive Western sanctions.

During a televised government meeting on the sanctions consequences, Putin said, “We are respecting all of our responsibilities in terms of energy supplies.”

“Even Ukraine’s gas transportation infrastructure is fully operational and in compliance with contracts,” he continued.

Russian President Vladimir Putin also stated that Western sanctions against Moscow have begun to harm the US and Europe.

“Their prices are going up, but it’s not because of us.” It’s as a result of their own blunders. “There’s no need to point the finger at us,” Putin stated.
