(Source: Reuters) In reaction to Russia’s new media law, Spotify Technology SA (SPOT.N) said on Friday that it will cease its streaming service in the nation.

The audio streaming service shut down its Russian headquarters indefinitely earlier this month, blaming Moscow’s “unprovoked war on Ukraine.”

Russia’s new legislation makes it illegal to report any occurrence that can bring the Russian military into disrepute.

According to one source familiar with the issue, the service will terminate in early April.
