On Thursday, the power shortage surpassed 5000 megawatts owing to technical issues and a lack of fuel in the power facilities.

According to data, hydroelectric output is also seeing a decline owing to low water levels in dams around the country, which has contributed to the country’s electricity shortage.

Meanwhile, unscheduled power outages have reached up to eight hours a day in various sections of the country.

According to the sources, overall power output is 14000 megawatts, whereas total electricity consumption is more than 19000 megawatts.
