Fawad Chaudhry, the former Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, got into a violent dispute with journalists outside Pakistan’s Supreme Court.
Media groups sought an apology from Fawad Chaudhry, but the former minister’s continued disparaging remarks and refusal to apologise resulted in journalists boycotting all PTI officials’ media appearances.
Fawad accused the journalist in question of taking money from certain elements and referred to him as “kiraye ka aadmi [a man on rent]” during the altercation.
