Israeli police stormed a Palestinian prayer session at Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa mosque compound on Friday, injuring at least 20 people, according to doctors, in the first government-backed terror incident in the region since Ramadan began.
According to the Palestinian Red Crescent, “20 wounded have been evacuated to hospitals in Jerusalem in connection with the ongoing violence,” and “there are still wounded at the location.”
According to Israeli police, three cops were injured.
According to witnesses, Palestinian demonstrators hurled stones at Israeli security personnel, who responded by firing rounds at them.
According to an AFP photographer, at than 100 Palestinians were spotted hurling objects against Israeli police troops.
