Saudi Arabia banned travellers from bringing Zamzam water on planes on Wednesday.
Passengers have been prohibited from carrying Zamzam water in their luggage, according to a Saudi General Civil Aviation notification, and airlines have been instructed to strictly follow the regulations.
All Saudi Arabian airlines have been instructed to follow the directions to the letter.
Saudi Arabia can take legal action against the airlines if they fail, according to the notification.
