Shireen Mazari, the head of the Pakistan People’s Party, was arrested and manhandled by police outside her residence in Islamabad. Her release has been ordered by Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz.
“All I have been informed is that Anti-Corruption Wing Lahore has kidnapped her,” Imaan Zainab Mazari-Hazir claimed in a tweet, adding that her mother had been “beaten and taken away by male police personnel.”
