LYON – Five people were killed in a tourist plane crash in the French Alps on Saturday, including four members of the same family, according to rescue officials.
The disaster occurred shortly after take-off from the Versoud airstrip near Grenoble in southeast France for a half-hour flight.
Witnesses to the crash alerted the authorities, who discovered the bodies of four adults and a child within the plane’s burned-out wreckage.
