Imran Khan, the leader of the PTI and a former prime minister, was granted bail by the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday in all matters, preventing his arrest until May 17.

The decision was made by a division bench made up of Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb and Justice Saman Rafat Imtiaz, and it is anticipated to ease the tension in the nation that erupted after the former premier’s incarceration.

Earlier, the bench resumed proceedings after a brief break for Friday prayers and granted Mr. Khan bail for two weeks in the Al-Qadir Trust case. After beginning nearly two hours late, the session was postponed shortly after the former premier entered the courtroom under heavy security.
