The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) will seek a judicial review of its April 4 decision to hold polls today (Monday), despite the fact that the Supreme Court’s May 14 deadline for doing so in Punjab had already expired on Sunday.

The review petition from the ECP will be heard by a three-judge bench led by Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial and included Justices Ijazul Ahsan and Munib Akhtar.
