A fierce exchange of fire between security personnel and militants in the Balochistan neighbourhood of Zarghoon resulted in the deaths of three troops and one terrorist, according to RAWALPINDI’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
According to a short statement made by the military’s media wing, a gang of terrorists stormed a security checkpoint this morning that had just been set up to stop extortion attempts against nearby coal mines.
The soldiers at the garrison responded to the fire attack quickly, driving the terrorists back. But in the subsequent fierce exchange of fire, three soldiers accepted the shahadat, while the security forces sent one terrorist to hell, according to the statement.
The names of the slain troops were Lance Naik Abdul Qadeer, Sipahi Zameer Ahmed, and Sipahi Mudassir Shaheed.
According to the ISPR, the troops have located a possible hiding place for escaping terrorists close to the mountains as a result of a subsequent intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) mission. An intentional blocking and sanitization operation has been started in response, it was said.
It went on to say that the anti-terrorist operation was going well and that security personnel were keeping up the pressure to prevent the extremists from leaving the region.
The statement ended, “Security forces, in pace with the country, are resolute to prevent efforts to sabotage Balochistan’s peace, stability, and growth.
