After shooting down a suspected Chinese spy balloon this year, US President Joe Biden stated on Sunday that relations between Washington and Beijing should heal “very soon.”
Biden stated that ties have worsened in the months after his meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping at the G20 conference in November on the Indonesian island of Bali.
The decision by Washington in February to fire down a suspected Chinese surveillance balloon that soared over the US caused a diplomatic quarrel between the world’s two largest economies.
A planned visit to Beijing by Secretary of State Antony Blinken to boost relations was cancelled due to the incident.
