ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Abrar ul Haq and Saifullah Niazi have resigned from the party after criticising the May 9 violence that targeted military institutions including Corps Commander House Lahore.

During a press conference, acclaimed musician and PTI leader Abrar ul Haq announced his departure from the party, stating that he saw no reason to continue.

Abrar ul Haq stated that he grew up in a political and military household and that he was bestowed “with fame by Allah” and had a desire to accomplish something for the nation.
