Croatian police said on Friday that a drug and weapon trafficking network operating around Europe had been busted by a law enforcement operation that had detained 37 individuals and recovered narcotics, money, and firearms in eight countries since last year.

According to sources, the last phase of the operation included raids on Wednesday in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Italy, Belgium, and the Netherlands carried out by police from those countries with the assistance of the European policing organisation Europol and the United States Drug Enforcement Administration.
