LAHORE (APP) – On Wednesday, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif expressed his country’s high regard for its friendly and extensive ties with Belarus.

He also reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to developing a partnership with Belarus that benefits both countries in all spheres, including the economy, agriculture, science, technology, information, and cultural sectors.

According to a news statement from the PM Office Media Wing, the foreign minister of Belarus, Sergei Aleinik, was greeted by the prime minister.

President Lukashenko’s heartfelt congratulations were communicated to the prime minister by Foreign Minister Aleinik, who also emphasised Belarus’ appreciation for Pakistan’s efforts to further regional peace and stability.

Additionally, the prime minister informed the foreign minister about India’s breaches of human rights in the IIOJK (Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir).

The prime minister hailed ongoing high-level interactions and exchanges, noting that Pakistan and Belarus will mark the 30th anniversary of the start of their diplomatic ties in 2024.

In this context, he also extended a second invitation to the president of Belarus to visit Pakistan as soon as he could.
