Former Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar is the most recent PTI leader to resign from office.

At a news conference at the Quetta News Club, he condemned the May 9 violence and advised all participants to abandon their separate organisations and consider Pakistan’s future.

Buzdar went on to say that the military facilities targeted were owned by the Pakistani government, and that “I believe we should avoid such incidents.” He emphasised that the Pakistan Army had and would always have his backing. Buzdar has appealed for the immediate release of all “innocent citizens” who have been jailed.
