Ali Muhammad Khan, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), was arrested again on Friday, just two days after he was released by the Peshawar High Court (PHC).

According to authorities, Mr Khan has also been identified in a corruption inquiry.

The PHC had earlier approved Mr Khan’s release after he had been held under the 3 Maintenance of Public Order (MPO).

A two-judge panel composed of Justice Ijaz Anwar and Justice Syed Muhammad Atiq Shah pronounced the earlier reserved sentence and granted him parole in return for Rs100,000 in surety bonds.
