Thursday’s Sindh mayoral elections saw six seats won by the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
Murtaza Wahab, Kashif Shoro from Hyderabad, Arsalan Sheikh from Sukkur, and Abdul Rauf from Mirpur Khas have all been elected mayors of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC).
In Shaheed Benazirabad, Rasheed Bhatti won the mayoral race over Larkana’s Anwar Ali Lohar.
On the other hand, just after Murtaza Wahab of the PPP was chosen mayor on Thursday after a heated election, the charged employees of the PPP and the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) engaged in violence outside the arts council.
