Energy Minister Engineer Khurram Dastgir visited the rural community of Jhimpir in Sindh’s Thatta district on Thursday to check out the repairs made after Biparjoy’s strong winds wrecked a gearbox line.
He said that the National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC) was fixing the eight damaged power pylons of the 132KV transmission line that had collapsed the day before and would be done in three days.
Through this transmission line and the nearby grid station, the Jhimpir region’s Indus, Liberty I, and Liberty II wind generating plants are connected to the national grid.
