The latest — and possibly final — installment in the renowned ‘Indiana Jones’ franchise lassoed the competition at the North American box office, according to industry estimates on Sunday (July 2), but observers criticised the fan favorite’s lacklustre beginning.
According to entertainment research firm Exhibitor Relations, ‘Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny,’ which starred Harrison Ford in the role of the archaeologist he first made famous more than 40 years ago, earned approximately US$60 million (S$81 million).
